Community Code of Conduct

Community Code of Conduct

As a member of Wanderful, you are a part of a sisterhood of women travelers from all over the world. We believe in supporting one another, in raising each other up, and in creating a safe, nurturing, and welcoming environment for all as we empower each other to travel the globe.

Below is our code of conduct for all members. When you join as a member, you will be asked to agree to these values in order to ensure a respectful experience for all Wanderful women.

When interacting with my Wanderful sisters

  • I will communicate clearly and respectfully with the entire Wanderful community regardless of their age, race, religion, nationality, ethnicity, disability, gender identity, or sexual orientation, both in person as well as in Wanderful’s online forums, Facebook groups, and website.
  • I will be as helpful as possible to other Wanderful travelers who come to my hometown. This includes providing advice, resources and even meeting up with travelers from time to time when I am able and available.
  • I will review the Member Handbook in order to fully understand my benefits and responsibilities as a member of the Wanderful network.
  • I will fully complete the Wanderful member data form presented to me upon signup to the best of my ability, including information about where I am from and what to do there
  • I will fully complete my member profile, including uploading a profile picture, so other members can see who I am

When hosting a Wanderful traveler in my home

  • I will create a comprehensive and accurate homestay listing, including photos and clear information about amenities, and ensure this is kept up-to-date.
  • I will respond to messages from other members as soon as I am able to do so.
  • I will ensure my guest has all the information she needs for a successful visit by providing a welcome letter and responding to any questions she has.
  • I will create a clean, comfortable and secure environment for my guest.
  • I will spend at least one hour with my guest during her homestay. If I am not available, I will make sure my guest knows this in advance.
  • I will only cancel a homestay if there are extraordinary circumstances.

When staying with a Wanderful hostess

  • I will respond to messages from other members as soon as I am able to do so.
  • Once the stay has been confirmed, I will not cancel my stay unless there are extraordinary circumstances. Once on a stay, I will never arrive later or leave earlier than the agreed dates unless I have cleared it ahead of time with my hostess.
  • I will make every effort to leave my room as I found it.
  • If there are any maintenance issues with the home, I will contact my hostess as quickly as possible.
