Dina Yuen, a.k.a. Asian Fusion Girl, has launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise funds to bring her television show, Iconic Asians, to Hollywood.

Go Girl Travel Network recently caught up with Dina to learn more about Iconic Asians.

About the Show

Iconic Asians with Dina Yuen is a groundbreaking television series that showcases a day in the life of an influential Asian person in a format that combines the best of Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations and The Oprah Show. Featuring celebrity chefs to global CEOs, politicians, musicians, celebrated athletes and human rights activists, we discover never-before-seen aspects of these Iconic Asians whose life stories inspire us all.

From discovering why bestselling violinist Sarah Chang refuses plastic surgery to how Mindy Kaling deals with criticisms to how The Hangover’s Ken Jeong went from real life physician to Hollywood movie star, Dina shares with you an in-depth look into each of these Iconic Asians’ lives and success stories.

About Dina

Dina’s background spanning seven industries (industrial engineer, trained chef, musician, author, consultant, web designer and entrepreneur), allows her to establish a unique rapport with each Iconic Asian. At 12 years old, she was the youngest to have attended the Nila Chandra Culinary Academy and later went on to become a cookbook author who chops and sautés with culinary celebrities like Master Chef’s Vikas Khanna. She started her first company at 21 years old, an experience that gave her profound insight into Pepsi CEO Indra Nooyi’s challenges in being a female leader. These days, her fans ask her for tips on skincare and fashion- a theme that encourages her to chat with Jason Wu about his couture designs for First Lady Michelle Obama.

Through AsianFusion’s People Features and her upcoming book (Iconic Asian Americans), Dina has an established voice as a journalist focusing on Asian subjects with direct access to many of the Iconic Asians in America and around the world.
