The Go Girls of New York had an amazing time helping A Global Friendship raise money to help bring full-time employment to 20 women in India.

A big thanks to Rebellious Treats for their generous donation of snacks for the event, and to all the organizations that donated items for our raffle!

About A Global Friendship: A Global Friendship is a young, dynamic, and environmentally conscious not-for-profit that works to improve the standard of living in developing regions. Project Home is AGF’s primary development project and has employed over 100 women and men in India, Thailand, Indonesia, Peru and the USA. Project Home provides artisans with micro-grants and training to help them grow their business. We help build economy where it is needed. The Upcycled Braid is our first offering from the 20 women we seek to provide full time employment to in Faridabad, India. The Upcycled Braid gives the women we are working with in India a chance to create something new and inspiring while also literally cleaning up their local communities of plastics. Various colored bags are used for the braids, reflecting the bold color usage for which India has become famous. Upcycled Braids offer a unique and alternate approach towards reusing materials which otherwise have become environmental offenders worldwide.
