If you know anything about me, you know that I love to eat. But frankly, you don’t really need to know anything about me to appreciate this delectable post.
I got a chance to visit Milwaukee, Wisconsin in early 2016, and basically spent 72 full hours there eating and drinking my way through the city. But it wasn’t enough. The food was so incredible, the bloodies so vodka-ful, and the cheese so sharp that I’ve been itching to get back ever since.
And luckily, I will be. Later this month. For Wanderful’s fourth annual Women in Travel Summit.
So, long story short, I’ve been obsessively scrolling Instagram for the past few days, pumping myself up before WITS. And not only have I discovered some new culinary spots I’ll definitely have to check out while I’m there, but I’ve also reminded myself of a few other reasons to love the city. And here they are.
By the way, you can definitely join in the fun with us later this month at WITS.
Tickets are on sale now, and are dwindling by the day! Full-weekend and single-day passes are up for grabs. And if the pull to #VisitMKE isn’t enough to get you there, let this jam-packed schedule full of incredible sessions to the trick.
Anyway, onward.
Here are 11 reasons you need to #VisitMKE this month.
1. The Bloodies (obviously)
Milwaukee is known for its outrageous (and outrageously delicious) Bloody Marys. We’d be remiss to not include it as #1.
2. The Brie (and bleu and cheddar and…)
3. The Brunch
4. The Beer
5. The Beauty
6. The Buns
7. The Beans
8. The Buddies
Did you know that the Hilton Milwaukee City Center (aka the hotel at which WITS is being held) has a resident dog? We know. We know. You can follow her own personal Instagram account here.
9. The Booze
10. The Bakeries
11. The Brilliance
And by that we, of course, mean the brainy, beautiful, and brilliant women who’ll be joining us for WITS this year. Check out our list of amazing speakers, have a look at the overflowing schedule, feast your eyes on all our pre- and post-conference tours and activities around the city, and be sure to book your ticket ASAP!
Festivities start on Wednesday the 19th and go through Monday the 24th. You won’t want to miss it.
