Toronto is one of the most diverse cities in the world, and it knows it.

With 600 attendees last year and a whopping 1,300 this time around, TBEX is becoming one of the biggest travel blogger conferences in the world.

You’d think that would mean people would behave, of course. But here are 5 things you’ll only find at TBEX, because what happens there, stays there!

5. The World in One Place

Sources say that Toronto, site of TBEX 2013, is one of the most diverse cities in the world. The cultural and ethnic variety is palpable, from its people to its food. In the summertime, the Harbourfront Centre’s Global Cafe offers a menu of culinary delights from a different global destination each weekend. Or you can walk up Toronto’s busy King Street for a variety of urban foodie treasures.

4. Our first #girlstravel Tweetup

Might we add that it was an incredible success? With 20 traveling women (and even some men!) that normally tweet together online grabbing lunch on the sunny lakefront, we’re happy to leave our Tweetup virginity on Toronto’s beautiful shoreline.

Plus, we were able to give away two free tickets to KEEN Digital Summit in October, so that wasn’t so bad.

3. People Dressed Like Maps

The MISSADVENTURES crew said it all with that one. Need I say more?

2. Okay, a Little Misbehavin’

We can’t always be good. Here’s me in a Fedora and our very own Go Girl contributor Nathalie sporting some Kanye West-style shades. I can assure you, this was only my second drink.

1. Once-in-a-lifetime Skylines

Imagine 1,300 people snapping pictures at every moment. With so much to see in Toronto, activities to participate in, and people to connect with, it was exhilaration at its finest. But then again, what else would you get when you put 1,300 travelers together in a new city?

Naturally, it’s adventure.
