We are so excited to announce the launch of our 12th and 13th chapters, in Portland, Oregon and Detroit, Michigan!
Go Girls of Portland is a group of empowered women celebrating travel in all its forms. We look to infuse our worldly wisdom back into our local communities by supporting local businesses, volunteering, and attending cultural events around the city. Join us for happy hours, film festivals, and electrifying company & conversation!
About the organizer: Emily Olson
Emily is an Oregon native. She received her BA in Spanish / Linguistics & International Studies. She currently works for the Portland Public School District as a Specialist in the Nutrition Services Department. She has lived in Costa Rica, taught English abroad, climbed Machu Picchu, danced in the streets of Havana… she looks forward to connecting with other vibrant women in the Portland area to share their passion for travel and women’s advocacy… hopefully over a new dish and a favorite drink!
Have passion, will travel! Go Girl Detroit is a group of globally minded, empowered women based in the heart of the city. Come join us as we explore hidden gems of the “D” and beyond!
About the organizer: LaGail Odoms
LaGail is passionate about all things travel. Playfully nicknamed, “The Mommy Nomad”, she enjoys traveling with her daughter, and has plans of making many travel memories with her. She holds a B.S. in Women and Gender Studies, and is an advocate for women’s rights, specifically pertaining to healthcare. Aside from traveling she loves being a mother and daughter, photography, journaling, scrapbooking, graphic arts, and coffee (dark roast and plenty of it!). Her ultimate goal in life is to fall in love all over the world.
