Great news! Go Girl Travel Network Founder and CEO Beth Santos will join 100 travel influencers from around the country to “discuss the Administration’s focus on the benefits of cross-cultural educational and cultural exchange and boosting international student mobility” at the White House on 9 December 2014.

According to the invitation, “participants will hear from a panel of high ranking government officials on current efforts around studying, working, and traveling abroad, with opportunities for dialogue and interaction.”

Beth represents one of few women entrepreneurs in the travel space. She founded Go Girl Travel Network on the back of her blue Yamaha motorcycle while traveling in São Tomé and Príncipe, a small two-island nation off Africa’s west coast. Since we incorporated in 2013, our goal is to bring women travelers together in order to share their experiences and tips, empower one another to travel worldwide, and create a global sisterhood of independent, adventurous, and globally minded women.

We can’t wait to tell you about the White House and everything we learn in our mission to connect women travelers worldwide. We might even be putting together a great Women in Travel Summit video with our friend (and WITS poster girl), Andrea Arzaba (but you didn’t hear that from us)!

Let’s give Beth a big congratulations as she heads to represent Go Girl in Washington!
