Wanderful Los Angeles: Karisma Shackelford + Nailah Hayward

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”47042″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]Karisma fell in love with travel as a young child watching the popular 80’s and 90’s PBS show, Reading Rainbow, where the characters would look on the pages of the book and see a photo of a beautiful travel destination and when the characters jumped into the book they would magically be there. Her love for travel grew into her passion and continued into her adulthood where she first traveled the U.S.A. and when she became a mother she began to world school her son. Most recent they have visited India, Indonesia, Costa Rica, Turks & Caicos, Taiwan & Jamaica.

When she is not traveling the world, she’s thinking about her next trip, helping others make their dreams of traveling come true, running her online business and writing articles for her lifestyle & travel blog. – hashtag: #gottahavekarisma[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”47039″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]Even before her first experience abroad in Tokyo as a college student, Nailah had an unceasing passion for travel. Whether it’s to see the sights, learn a language, visit friends or embark on an adventure, Nailah is always on a trip or in the process of planning the next one. When she’s not on the road, Nailah lives in sunny Los Angeles, a city she has called home since 2002.

A project manager by trade, she also writes for her travel blog called There’s So Much to See which focuses on international travel and teaches and trains the Brazilian martial art of Capoeira. As a frequent solo traveler, Nailah has a strong appreciation for Wanderful and its support of women travelers of all ages and backgrounds wherever they may roam. She is excited to be a part of developing a Wanderful chapter for women travelers based in the Los Angeles area.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”47035″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://blog.sheswanderful.com/meetups/puebla/”][vc_btn title=”Visit Chapter” color=”purple” align=”center” link=”url:http%3A%2F%2Fwww.sheswanderful.com%2Fmeetups%2Fpuebla%2F||target:%20_blank|”][vc_column_text]

Kate’s interest in travel was fostered from a young age and grew as a college student during her time studying abroad in the UK.
