We are so excited to share the closing keynote speaker for our sixth annual Women in Travel Summit (WITS)! As the premier event for travel influencers, creators, and industry, WITS is bringing on stage Deesha Dyer who served as the former Obama Administration Social Secretary.
“We are absolutely thrilled to have Deesha joining us as a keynote at this year’s summit. Not only has she built an amazing career for herself, but she’s an incredible advocate for others,” expressed Beth Santos, Founder and CEO of Wanderful. “She believes strongly in lifting the voices of women and underrepresented people, especially in travel, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to learn from her.”
An esteemed speaker, writer, creative event and strategy consultant, the Philadelphia native became a White House intern at the age of 30 and completed a seven-year tenure that honed her expertise in event coordination, logistics, protocol, and statecraft. Her storied career is unconventional at best, with themes of reinvention, drive, and a commitment to community service integrated throughout. She currently serves as the Executive Director of beGirl.world, a global empowerment and education travel program for teen girls that she co-founded in 2014.
